Indiana Medicare Supplement Birthday Rule

Some Indiana residents with Medicare Supplement plans may be able to switch companies around their birthday without medical underwriting.

This opportunity only applies during a limited window around your birthday each year, so it’s important to review your options at the right time.

Already have Plan G or Plan N?

What the Birthday Rule Means

Indiana now allows many Medicare Supplement policyholders to review and change companies around their birthday each year.

This rule allows you to apply for the same plan letter with another company, such as Plan G to another Plan G or Plan N to another Plan N.

During this window, you may be able to switch without medical underwriting, even if your health has changed since you first enrolled.

How the Review Works

1. Schedule a short call
2. Review your current Medicare Supplement plan
3. Compare companies offering the same coverage
4. Decide if switching makes sense for you
